Default Sony PS3 Sound help required.

Hi Guys,

I have a Fantastic launch 60gig PS3 connected to my Home theater System 'Sony MUTEKI HTDDW 1600'

The PS3 is connected to my Home theater receiver via HDMI (video pass through only unfortunately) to my Sony Bravia 40" D Series LCD.

For digital sound I am using a pretty good optical cable from the PS3 to my HT receiver.

The problem I have is the sound seems a little slow. When you are in the XMB and you move from item to item you don't always hear the clicks, also games like Guitar Hero III and Singstar sounds a little out.

For most other games I guess the delay (if thats what it is) isn't really a problem and the sound is pretty decent.

Is there anything I can do to fix this issue?

I had an issue where Blu-ray movies would only play in 2 channel sound but that is because I had Optical set to PCM instead of Bitstreaming what ever that means LOL

It would be a real pity if I had to use analog sound to resolve this issue.

Hope you guys understand what I mean and hope you can help most of all!

Thanks
