The Iron Banner begins on Saturday, July 19th at 2pm PDT. It will remain open for two hours. Every Guardian will receive a message when the Tower doors that lead to Lord Saladin open for the first time.

May I ask why? I have no doubt you have explained yourself before, (I've seen you around for years) but I'm curious.

For myself, the last couple of years I haven't been able to stand single player based on the sole fact that even a total moron n00b behaves more realistically than an NPC.

Anybody encounter the Hallowed Knights? Armored guys with big swords. Are they basically impossible to kill? While exploring under some wreckage I found about three and kept unloading clips, Vortex Grenades, and I think a Nova bomb, it kept saying they were immune.

Thing is I thought I killed off about three of them in an earlier stage by tossing a grenade in a room and backing away and repeating a few times. And afterwards each left behind a loot box.

They were in the Alpha too, they are lvl 20 and mostly impossible to kill by yourself since you're capped at lvl8. Although if you get enough people together with upgraded weapons with high enough attack then you can hit them for 1HP worth of damage, so takes about 10-15 mins for a bunch of you to kill one of them since you have to die -> spawn -> repeat constantly.

Not sure if you can still do it in the Beta though since all enemies seem to have been buffed since the Alpha and take a bit more damage than before, so it might be impossible now, I keep getting "invulnerable" everytime I try doing damage where as in the Alpha I was getting 1HP.

There's also another place in the shipyard that has a lvl 20, and a hidden cave underneath a helipad on the side of a cliff (it has a dead ghost in there too if you are lucky enough to get past the giant fallen.

Yeah, everytime I hit them it said immune, after a few minutes I just hauled on out of there since it wasn't essential to completing the mission. But would have loved to get that loot.

The ones I defeated in the cave weren't super hard just had to keep lobbing a vortex grenade when it recharged and run away, took a while though. Glad these guys don't really chase you too far.

Another little thing I found is that if you go up the stairs to the left of the building where you get your mail you can run and jump on to the roof of said building and there's a fan in the middle and if another person stands on the balcony by where you jumped from there's a prompt to hit to turn the fan on and it will throw you up in the air.

I see now why they gave everyone 3 codes besides trying to get uninterested players interested. Coop with players you know is really fun. Although last few times I've been capped and helped my lvl 2 brother start up everything died so fast.

Ok so the level cap in the finished game is only lvl 20. Most people will hit that within about 10 hours of play easily, so it looks like you play the majority of the game at the lvl cap and then just upgrading your armor and weapons as you go along.

Now I see why the Beta is capped at such a low level. if it was 10, or 15 like FF14 beta then you'd be half way towards the higest level in the finished game.

Co-op is really fun. I made the complaint earlier but I am not crazy about the MP. They need to match level ranks more closely so you can play with people with similar weapons. I hope Bungie somehow fixes this.
