Anything that has text will likely be French. This is common with all editions in other regions usually. I think off the top of.my head though, it may just be the arms and armaments book with text in it explaining the design of weapons etc.

You can play the whole story by your self, you will see other players along the way and you can join them in a public event, or not and just go about your own story/mission. But for strikes it's 1-3 persons, match making and for Raids it's 6 persons and you'll need to finds 5 other friends to join you, as there is no match making.

However, from this Destiny Wiki almost all can be done with 1 person. Only some of the higher than level 20 activities require 3 or 6 person fire teams. Interestingly enough, the Vault of Glass Raid, level 30 & 31 has 1-6, so you might be able to tackle that yourself. Which if you can complete it on your own, you will truly be the baddest badazz in Destiny.

I honestly think people mean an offline only single player. I'm actually curious to know how many will buy and not realise it's an online only title. Hoping to just play a campaign all by themselves and then realise they can't because of the way the games designed. Heck, even no man's sky hass offline mode.

I think it's a legitimate concern as to what happens if the servers crashed etc.

I've given in and ordered the bundle. I've been holding off on a ps4 until at least spring by pretty much ignoring everything about the system and games, but I saw my son watching videos of Destiny yesterday and it was enough to say screw it, close enough to give in.

Well hopefully most people interested in the game have done some reading on it and are aware it's an online only game. Otherwise it should still say it right on the box, right? Like other games say "ONLINE PLAY"(Optional) But I guess you still never know with some people lol.

You're right about the concern about it being online only. The game is only as good for as long as they keep the servers running. I have no idea how many years a game like that will be good for. Hopefully a long enough time that it doesn't matter much. Still sucks knowing your game could be unplayable at any time though. But it sounds like the game will be popular enough to go for a long run.

I'm going to be looking to watch some live streams of this. Hopefully I'm not too wowed and pushed into buying it. Or maybe I am hoping I will be lol. Just don't really want to buy another game right now. Trying to have the patience to wait for Unity, Dying Light, and Witcher. But I recently got my PS+ and been playing a little BF4 online and know now that my internet works pretty well with it. I only get very occasional brief moments of lag. Like it's only happened two or three times in as many weeks, and only for a few moments.

Considering Bungie has said they think of this as a long term game (10 years) I'd say the servers should be fine for a while.

Well, I hope more people will join from here, but I know some have joined NeoGAFs teams as thwy're active on that forum mostly for Destiny. There isn't an 'official' clan for Blu-ray.com per se, but if we get enough members hanging around from here, I guess it will be

I'd be shocked if this lasted 5 years. The sequel will be out in a year or two so I dont know why they would keep servers open for a game when they want to sell the new one.

I think Bungie are going to the using the exact same worlds and servers. The 'new games' basically continue the story etc. Think of it like DC Universe Online and the DLC packs. So, I think otherwise it doesn't make sense to let characters etc. carry over.

Also, I don't know if you can join via the mobile app, but if a clan features there, it should allow you to join. However, signing in on mobile on the main site is easy and you can join that way

I think it might be worth setting up a thread in the community gaming section to organize ourselves, first post with a list of members who will be playing etc. Bit like how the CoD BD Clan is set up.
