Hi all,
Ok so I used to think 3D was just a gimmick like many had said, BUT after getting a new 3D TV I finally was able to watch and be BLOWN away by 3D BD's, wow so impressed. I have MANY 3D BD's now BUT the problem is that I find I don't see 3D well on some releases where it actually disorients my eyes in some ways. To preface, my vision isn't great to say the least, I wear an 8.00 contact in my left eye and a 7.50 in my right. So, right off the bat I know my eyes are different prescriptions so they aren't "even" by normal standards. I can't fully explain the "issues" i have with certain movies, other than to say that text is hard to read when it's in the center area of the screen, some dramatic pop-out effects seems blurry or almost make me feel I'm "cross-eyed" or they can't be resolved by my eyes but I know they're there. It's hard to explain completely almost like my eyes can't fully process everything that is going on in the more dramatic 3D moments, like certain parts of the screen are clear and others blurry, it feels almost like a motion sickness/funhouse kinda thing in those instances. For example, I watched Gravity and it was 100% fine I saw everything no issues with all the effects, but then I popped in Under the Sea IMAX and my eyes were bugging out almost like it was too much. Like in the very beginning with the credits rolling in I couldn't read them comfortably, saw doubled lettering. It seems the standard movies are fine as I can see those, just the really aggressive 3D like Under the Sea, Deep Sea, Sammy's Adventure 2, I have an issue with. Does anyone have this problem? I have 3 different pairs/brands of glasses and I still have the issue no matter what pair I'm wearing. My gf also had the same issue, she wears glasses but her eyes are a lot better than mine, I thought that was odd as her prescription is "even" for both eyes. I just find it odd I can see normal BD movies but feel I am missing out on the IMAX ones, it's a bummer! Last edited by MoJoe; 09-15-2014 at 03:56 PM. |
