Halloween 4 is also pretty good. The other films in the series are guilty pleasures for me, except Resurrection which is just a complete write off.

I'm looking forward to the inevitable torrent of complaints about imperceptible scuffs and dents in the packaging.

I'll be watching in the proper sequential order. Parts 3, 5 and 6 are ones I'm really looking forward to watching, particularly the Producer's Cut and it's features.

It's going to be a great Halloween.

I'll most likely watch The Producer's Cut first, also known as the "Go Screw Yourself Joe Chappelle Edition".

Looking forward to this amazing set.

with box sets like these...some people will literally watch every disc. so that would explain why there aren't many reviews just yet. of course i'm sure some will just watch the new stuff and "repeat" review comments for the rest.

either way i imagine by the weekend there will be a few up..and then more will pop up shortly after release.

Oh, Man, I just listened to Now Playing's Podcast critique of Halloween III. I wanted to defend it so much to them. They brought up some good points but their hate for the film also blinded them to some of the good aspects which led them to missing some things in the film. Ah well, I know it's not a great movie but holds some nice nostalgia for me.

I agree that Halloween 4: The Return of Michael Myers and Halloween H20 are both solid movies. That fourth movie is pretty fierce, from what I remember.

All of the Halloween movies have their moments, except for the two Rob Zombie films, which I'm not into. It's just that the first two movies are the ones that I'd keep returning to over and over again, because of both Jamie Lee Curtis and Donald Pleasence. I'm looking forward to revisiting the second film later this evening.

Now Playing really sucks in their reviews of the Halloween series. However, when they actually LIKE the movie they are reviewing they are enjoyable. Check of The Shining.

I have no idea who this guy is, but why would he be pumping Criterion? Did they release Halloween on BD? Are they going to release Halloween on BD? If not, then I see no reason for Criterion to even be mentioned here.

They probably took him to the juicing room afterwards. I find it funny that they actually who the actor and not a double since you can't see his face.

Also I swear Anchor Bay and Scream sent out a note with all copies and told reviewers to be a vague as possible.

The Zombie films do have their moments. While not out and out successes, at least they are films with some interesting ideas which is more than I can say about Resurrection.

But I do hear ya on the first two Halloween films. I've probably seen those and H20 more than any of the other installments.

I'll be watching the tv cuts of 1 and 2, since I haven't seen them, followed by the rest in order (producer's cut of 6.)

My favorites in order are

1, 3, RZH 1&2, 4, 2, 6, H20, 5 and Ressurection.
