Default Rebuilding some vintage speakers

Need some advice from some of you audio guru's. I have a set of Sansui SP-200's that were in storage for a while. I think everything inside may have stiffened up a bit as everything is original and they weren't played for 6-7 years. There is virtually no bass and the mid-range sounds a bit bright as well, even with bass settings turned way up.

I know these aren't real audiophile speakers but they are hooked up to my turntable, a freshly serviced Elac Miracord 50H, and I'd like to hear my vinyls better.

I love the cabinets for the speakers, as they match the surrounding areas well so I want to keep them. Is it worthwhile to gut these and put new woofers, mids, and tweeters in? If so, with the 40W power, which would be recommended? I will buy the parts and have them installed by a pro. Thanks!

Specifications:
3 Way 5 speakers.
12 inch Type (305mm) woofer.
Two 5 inch Type (131mm) Squawkers.
Two horn tweeters.
Impedance: 8 Ohms.
Max. Power 40W.
