I have a pending charge from Shout Factory as well. So it looks like these may be shipping soon.

While it would be great for the Nightbreed blu-rays direct from Shout Factory to ship out even earlier; what are the chances they will send them out an additional two weeks earlier? I'm not aware of Shout Factory having a pattern of super early releases outside their published release date. I'd love to be wrong, bring on Nightbreed!

I've seen earlier than planned releases from the Synapse gods every now and then, but that would be a great surprise if Nightbreed showed up earlier. My friends and I have an entire night planned around this release. Couple this with the announcement of The Scarlet Gopsels and it's been a great week for Barker fans

If it's anything like every other preorder I've placed with Shout, it'll ship a week before the scheduled date. So, probably next week.

And they just cancelled my order. Oh the joys of having a card stolen and replaced. Here's hoping there's no problem with the Amazon order.

This was one of my only gripes with ordering through SF, and why I, up until Nightbreed, hadn't ordered directly from them since. In my instance, dealing with their CS was sub-par. Even with multiple email pleas prior to the cancellation to switch payment info for the order. It amounted to nothing more than ignored emails, and a very ("sorry, but your order has been cancelled") automated experience. Coincidentally, Amazon (granted, bigger company) let me change payment (in my account settings) on the fly for another order that would have been affected around that time. Disappointing to hear that it hasn't changed in that regard at SF.

No big deal, as I was really contemplating canceling anyway as I had later placed an order for one from Amazon when it was around $56. I left the Shout order active as well because it would have been in the first 1,000, but I really don't give a crap about that at this point. If they had sent me a "please update your credit card info" request, maybe I would have kept the order active, but I guess their system isn't set up that way.

Anyway, all said, if they were trying to validate my card at Shout, it looks like they are getting ready to ship these out very soon to those who preordered a copy there.
This is word -for- word the exact same thing that happened to me. It's not really a collectible anymore since they upped the run and that left me trying to decide whether the poster is worth 30 bucks. It turns out that, for me, the answer is no. So, both Shout, and in a weird way,the guy who stole my credit card a month ago, helped me make up my mind.Im just goin with my $55 amazon order.

I was issued a new credit card yesterday. I assume because I have shopped at Home Depot.

Have a pending charge from Shout, but it is showing up on my new card. I assume because I have not received and activated the new card yet.

The big question for me is what will I watch first? The theatrical or director's cut? What will everyone else watch first?

Intended on picking up the standard edition all this time until a few minutes ago. I had originally pre-ordered the Halloween set and put 25 bucks down at Movie Stop for a reserve. Then Best Buy came along and I decided to get it there for RZ points and it was a hell of a lot closer. Just called Movie Stop to move my reserve money to Nightbreed and they have the limited edition in their system for 62.99 and the guy said it would probably be lower than that closer to release day. Even if it stays at 62.99 I'll only be handing over about 40 bucks on the spot. I think I can live with that.

Good question. Perhaps me and my brother will find out once I receive the LE at the end of this month.

I'll dig right into the Director's Cut. I have the theatrical cut on dvd, and to tell you the truth, despite being a fan of Clive Barker and the movie's concepts, I was always disappointed by the movie somewhat. I knew it could be better, so I'm really hoping the Director's Cut hits the mark a lot closer for me.

Since I haven't bothered to watch the theater cut since at least '05, I'll probably reacquaint myself with that first then the DC. It will help justify getting the LE since I have the feeling the DC will be better. If I start with the good shit, there's no incentive to go back.

Used a $50 amazon gift card I got as an anniversary gift from my wife to make this a $5 and change purchase. Now I'm even more excited. Definitely going to watch the directors cut first. I enjoy the theatrical but always felt it was middle of the road. While there is little hope of this living up to the hype and expectation of fans, I'm dying to check it out.

I will watch the theatrical cut first and then the director's cut to see how much the original movie has changed.
