I wouldn't say excited, but definitely interested. Haven't seen the pilot yet.

Of course! It's SW man, and I'm totally geeking out! How can you not be excited! We plan on watching EPIII before Rebels, Rebels at 9, then EPIV right after.

Loved the premiere episode. I loved Clone Wars but I think I prefer this.

Since we get a diverse crew instead of most of the focus being on Jedi and Clones.

Zeb of course is going to be the breakout star. I may have to get the Lego set of the Ghost and Phantom.

Not bad start to the season.

I could take it or leave the main protagonist styling though, reminds me of a young alladin

SO GLAD that people are seeing this finally! I got into the world premiere at SDCC this past Summer and had to bite my tongue, now that it has aired I am super excited that people are enjoying it! Who is everyone gravitating towards right now? After seeing this a bunch of times, I really think Sabine is going to shine as the show goes on. Hera is awesome as well, and I actually like Agent Kallus!

BTW: for those that do not know, the first episode of the regular series "Droids In Distress" is available to watch on Disney XD.com and the app right now!

New Star Wars!!!! WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

EDIT: Droids In Distress was awesome. There is a great dramatic moment, and some familiar faces also drop by

There he is! How the hell you been man!

Yeah, what a great start for the show. I think over time, it will reach the level of TCW. Good to know about Droids in Distress. Can't wait for more.

It takes place somewhere between Episode I and Episode VII.

I thought that too, I watched the first ten minutes earlier and when the kid was on the building's roof (watching the Imperials) I was waiting for his monkey to show up!

Not very impressed with this :/

Cons:

1. The visuals and animation are somehow worse than Clone Wars.
2. The characters are poorly designed, visually unexciting and unoriginal.
3. Zeb is called Zeb...is that the best they could come up with?!
4. Ezra looks like Disney's Aladdin and is merely a Han Solo wannabe.
5. Why must there be yet another character in Mandalorian armour? pink Mandalorian armour.
6. Why must there be another Twi'lek character?
7. The whole thing is ridiculously childish so far.

8. The goodies escaped from inside an Imperial Star Destroyer easily, then went back for Ezra and managed to pick him up the minute they step foot back on the Destroyer with no resistance at all. The whole rescue took about 5 minutes, the Destroyer appeared to be deserted and Ezra found his way back to the hangar from the cell block in a similar 5 minute time span without knowing where he was going. In other words...what a load of rubbish even for a fantasy.

9. How did the Stormtrooper helmet on board the Star Destroyer fit Ezra? was it a child size Stormtrooper helmet?

10. The Wookies looked shit.
11. Ezra is yet another young lad who just happens to strong in the force and discovered by chance...seriously??!
12. The Inquisitor also looks shit.

Pros...

1. All the classic sound effects are back.
2. All the classic outfits and ships are back...so far.
3. Its very early days.

According to the Star Wars Rebels panel at last year's NYCC (New York Comic Con), it takes place 14 years after Episode III and 5 years before Star Wars.

I just finished watching. It was ok. EZRA was annoying. It was just a little too childish for me. I was wondering when this took place! Thank you for clarifying.

Liked it a lot, and if it is to experience the same build up in quality that Clone Wars went through, we are in for a treat.

I don't see it. The first Clone Wars episodes weren't perfect but they easily showed much promise, plus they looked sharp.

This has nothing of promise in my opinion and it looks awful! what on earth did they do to the wookies?!
