LOL! That's funny. I barely even know what to do with the relic. Every time I've had it, it's because the real user was dead and the cause was already lost. I can't agree more with the role familiarity. It's precisely that which makes a mission that began as something that spanned four days a two to three hour activity.

I'm usually on after 630pm central, sometimes until quite late with a gap somewhere between 9 and 10 to relocate after the wife gets home. Either of you can feel free to shanghai me, if you need another player. I replay weeklies and dailies all the time just to keep people company. As long as you know I try to not bail on a mission with other people until it's over or we get killed. And if you haven't, go ahead and add me, as I often check the roster for open fireteams on missions when I have nothing else going on. I also only rarely played MP games before this, and it's really just the coop play that keeps me interested now. I still play alone, but that's just housekeeping.

Am I allowed to come back in? Yeah, I've been on a year posting hiatus, but have stopped by occasionally to see the latest deals, and lately, to read-up on Destiny happenings around here. Is there room for another old-fart gamer among all of the younglings with the fast reflexes?

I fell in love with this game through the Beta, and play it every chance I can get (which is only really on weekends, as I travel a lot during the week). I've got a fully upgraded level 28 Titan, and am working on a Warlock (currently level 18) since I already have several pieces of legendary armor and one piece of exotic for her (stupid Xur exotic engram!).

I'm at the point now where I need folks to work with doing some daily and weekly strikes for loot and marks. I won't even try to BS anyone about my skills, as they are only decent, at best (except in PvP, where I'm not ashamed to admit I totally suck). Not sure I'm ready for a raid, but I learn fast and can follow instructions. My son would also probably be interested in being added, and would definitely be a plus for raids, as he puts me to shame. I think his Titan is still at level 27, as he's been working on leveling up his new hunter.

Anyway, add me on PSN (ricshoe64). I'll be looking for Mike and Jose this weekend.

Always shoot and move. Heck, always _____ and move. Reviving, jumping, everything. I see people stay still or move in a purely perpendicular/rectilinear manner too often.

For the tank, I engaged him from the left behind a container. A lot of structures between us, and it was more sniping + MGing.

For Sexy Prime, there's a empty container on the left. Mobs don't seem to go in from behind you. So I stayed in there and sniped/MGd away by poking out the front, and retreated when they threw grenades or Sexy Prime did his Cyclops thing.

Took me around 40 mins, died once to the tank, but it's doable.

Boy, these Daily Story missions - anybody else remember them being longer? Or is that because there was a "spirit of exploration" among us when we first played these? Recommend everyone use their Black Wax Idols before opening the hive gate, it's like printing your own glimmer.

I'm still trying to convince myself Ice Breaker is superior to The Supremacy. The recoil + (1 bullet per 6 seconds) thing versus no recoil and super-fast reloading...damage is only 3-4% more anyway.

But the not-needing ammo thing is great for camping and solo-ing the hard stuff.

And Plan C is incredible. Stability is high. Reload is super fast. Impact is high. Range is medium, and the Charge rate (without the Plan C bonus yet) is the fastest Ive seen on a fusion rifle.

I finally finished the weekly strike solo. The hardest part really is the first part with all the waves. It's the cloaked Vandals that get me all the time. I played it at Level 26 Hard and finally manged to finish it. Level 22 started off easy so I upped it to 26. I hung out at the entrance where you first come out into the mesh decryption area and hung back and peaked out to snipe. The Captains are sponges even with the Ice Breaker. I was not prepared for a Baron to be there in the end. I don't think there is one in the regular strike.

For the Walker, I hung out waaaay back in the building where you first emerge, after taking a few shots from that shack in the middle. I'm out of range of the Walker and the Ice Breaker is powerful and accurate enough to hit the target. After that, it's just cleanup.

I did the same strategy as you with Prime. It took a while and was a grind but I kept sniping away and finally beat it. Still had to use my Sunsinger ability a few times but it was not as frustrating as yesterday. I hung back until the Super was charged though as insurance.

quick question for you guys that have explored this games in and outs......my buddy had mentioned the other day.....if you have 6 guys on a fireteam, could the fireteam leader go into a skirmish or rumble match and have it be just the 6 of you??

we haven't had enough guys to try it....but if it works, it would be an easy way to get the triple play trophy and those stupid exotic bounties where you have to get 500 points w/a void damage weapon.

I'd be more than game to give it a try if some other guys want to give it a try.

I suck at using fusion rifles and really doubt i'll be able to get 500 points w/one.

I can't upgrade my Hunter at all past 24 cause I just don't get any armor materials! Only have got 51 of them which only lets me upgrade two minor part. I have Legendary Gear except for Helmet but going to take a long time they way I'm getting stuff. Not even talking about Shards. For my Titan I have over 700 in material for their gear. Anyways, will be looking to do the Nightfall for the first time in next couple days. So be looking for people to do it with.

I'll add you. I'm a level 28.5 Warlock. I'm not great on the Raid, but am pretty confident elsewhere in the game. I completed this week's Nightfall and the Weekly Strike by myself. I like teaming up with people from here. Dodger_Blue311 is my PSN name.

I did the Weekly again a little earlier, but wasn't able to complete it (dinner got in the way). Anyways, when I got to the mesh area, I found that the BEST area to hang out at is near that Hive spaceship, right behind the train. No enemies even came close to where I was hanging out at. It was a much better spot to take them out/have great cover compared to the area where you first walk in, with all the steps. I was able to complete it quicker AND have better cover than the area with the steps.
