Their explanation that they have to go with double features for the more obscure titles is a bit saddening, since I like individual releases, but as long as they continue to put as much work into each title as they did in the past it shouldn't be a huge issue and won't stop me from making purchases. Only issue now is that I have to wait until summer to get my hands on this double feature!

I Kay be the majority here but I would love to see the remake of The House on Haunted Hill and the sequel Return to House on Haunted Hill on a double feature.
In my opinion that's the only way to have a double feature, not 2 obscure movies. |

I think most people will take two obscure movies over bland horror remakes from the last decade, I know "Scarecrows" has been requested for quite a long time. Destroyer looks pretty hilarious, I never heard of it before and it sure is buried in google (it's not even mentioned if you search for Destroyer movie, you have to search Destroyer 1988). The trailer is great! And poor Deborah Foreman, she started out so well with Valley Girl and Real Genius!

Anyone know the actual name of this film. This announcement of the release of Scarecrows reminds me of a movie I used to watch as a kid in the 80's that was aired on TV all the damn time.
It was about a little girl who was friends with a mentally challenged guy. The towns people thinks he hurt her and he hides from them in a scarecrow out in a field. They find out and shoot the shit out of him and he comes back from the dead for revenge. I remember one farmer dying in his grain silo. It gets filled up and he basically suffocates/drowns. I know this is a bit off topic but it has been bugging the hell out of me. |

They're not angry about getting 2 movies, they're just people who enjoy things like cover art taking up all of the packaging. I sort of get it, I prefer single movie releases myself, but I recognize that sometimes it makes better business sense to pair up obscure titles. Some people have expressed concerns that these multi-pack releases will become the norm, with 3 or more films ala Mill Creek. Personally, I don't see that happening too often, at least not with better-known titles.

Sad to hear that lack of sales on past titles will be leading to more double features. It was so nice to see SF putting the extra effort into releases such as Final Terror & Final Exam, hopefully this doesn't spell trouble ahead.

These double features are God's gift to Blu-ray movie fans and I couldn't be more delighted. The opportunity to get relatively obscure films at very reasonable prices is the best thing that's ever happened to horror movie fans.
I'm not surprised by fringe elements that whine about these kinds of things. I've been on this forum long enough to have endured the non-stop wails of misery regarding slip-covers and art work. Fortunately, Scream Factory doesn't pay a lot of attention to these bizarre, minority opinions. For the complainers: Better luck next format. For the rest of us: Lots of horror movies on Blu for NOT lots of money. |

Scream Factory seems to be doing a good job of ensuring that their double feature releases include movies that were released during the same general era and are similar to each other in overall tone. Frogs is a good match for Food of the Gods, Love at First Bite is a good match for Once Bitten, and so on.
I would be annoyed, for example, if Scream Factory released a double feature of a long-lost early-1980s classic and a horrible early-2000s film with bad computer effects, but I have not seen anything of the sort since they started announcing these. |

or worst case scenario, make 1 for one movie, one fore another, and duplicate the disc and put the bd-r in another case. problem solved. |

I dislike it when movies with franchises are paired with a film from another franchise.
Like Halloween 4 / A Nightmare on Elm Street 5 for example. Or another annoyance would be something like Howling 3 / Howling 5, where the sequels aren't paired in order. It RUINS my collection's orderliness. But something like When A Stranger Calls / Happy Birthday to Me or Frogs / Food of the Gods is fine, although not something I want badly. |

I dont think theyll be eliminated, but it makes sense to put these lesser known films in double packs, especially from a business standpoint. id rather see.them make more money from double features then if they were to release the films seperately and not sell as many of one of the films. hopefully they can then put more money into getting bigger name films.
