I keep wishing someone like Kotobukiya could strike a deal with a major studio to do a few "statue sets". Their PVC statues are quite nice, and a 1/10 scale, heck even a 1/6 could be fairly cheap and have very nice detail.

Now, if I can just get Amazon to ship my damn set to the right location(due to arrive tomorrow), I'll be in business!

Sideshow is doing a release of the Smaug statue they showed at Comic-Con this year, actually the preorder starts next week on 11/11. The release is limited to 1000 pieces or even less possibly, so I'd say there's no way it'll be under $750 and probably closer to $1000.
