The cheese spot he's referring to is most likely the same spot you, I, and everyone else uses: behind the crates underneath the stairs.


EDIT: under the ramp, not stairs.

Didn't know you could shoot underneath the cracks. I was trying Nightfall earlier and the team got killed after an hour. I had to leave too so I never finished it.

I do go on the right side spot but I noticed the other people in my group were on left side. Seems though once you get to the end Valus will make his way over to whoever is on right side and become an easy target.

The left side has more room for multiple people to shoot from different angles. Just don't get too close to the boxes when those damn phalanxes are around, as they'll smash you through the box.

We didn't know about the hiding spot.
Always finished it by running around aimlessly.
I was going to boot the other guy so Harley could join us but Harley said don't bother.

Yeah, I want to finish up the one we did not finish Tuesday. I could actually use the checkpoint for both warlocks, as one has done through the Templar on hard, but never finished Gatekeeper. That's two loot drops. And Jose finally learned me the proper way to do the Gatekeeper, if I can keep from blowing up. I could envision his eyes rolling.

Would any of the early evening crowd be up for a half-raid on hard? We can probably scrape by the Templar, if we are all 29's, and with a 30, we could do it for sure using the run and hide and snipe methods. Worth a try, I think, before they end up patching the . Just for the loot drops. I would not expect to be able to beat whole thing. I have two guardians I could run on hard and still get stuff.

I still want/need to finish the raid we started on Tuesday with my warlock, also. I'd offer to help cheese the Templar on hard with my 29 Titan, but since we ran through last night there will be no loot for me. Still, I'm up for it if you need someone. There's no way I could do gatekeeper/Atheon yet, though.

Edit: If you're talking about up through the Templar, than I should probably not be joining you. I barely survive the Oracle stage as it is on normal!

I still need the back-half of the Raid on Hard (Gatekeeper/Atheon). I'm not sure about early evening though, I'd prefer 9pm est if possible. Sorry just realized you were talking about the front-end.

A few things are needed...different things for some.

1. A few of us need to finish the back end from Tuesday on normal. This is probably the priority for most. And it should not take very long, so we should definitely do it.

2. The warlock from #1 and the Titan I used last night could both go on hard runs and get boss loot. Ric, even if you finished on normal, you will still get the boss drops in the Templar section. I honestly believe a group of 29s with maybe one 30 can get through the Templar section, as long as we don't get angry and frustrated. We did it late Tuesday night with one 30 in the group. I don't believe the same about Gatekeeper and Atheon, as the damage penalty in those sections has a huge impact. I'm sure some really good teams have done it, but this group is not in a position to invest a lot of time trying it together and figuring out what works best.

3. Kenkeith, I have another warlock that still needs the backend pieces of the hard raid you do. If you have others who are interested, it would be great to try and do that at 9EST. Unfortunately for me, I'm level 29 and am a liability. The nonforum guys I play with don't usually get together until around midnight eastern.

Thanks, Jon. Wasn't sure about that. Still, I'm VERY concerned about doing the Oracles on hard. It's probably one shot kills on a 29 from those damn hobgoblins!

At least I was able to fully upgrade both my VoC and Corrective Measure last night.

No need to worry. You do them a different way. After you finish defending confluxes which is now the hard part, using the run and hide method rather than the normal method, you wipe and stay up top to snipe oracles. One warlock goes down to get the shield. Only one sniper can reach you up there. That's why it's doable, and that's also why it's likely to be patched.
