Does not work consistently when you are solo. He will often park himself on top of the platform where you can't see or damage him*.

* Unless you want to sit there all day and regenerate Super Energy and try to kill him with something that can go through walls like the Titan's Fist of Havoc Shock Wave.

Platform + Ledge is the best way to tackle the Archon Priest with 2 or 3 players, however. No matter which person he goes after, someone has a good sniping view.

Hah. Ships = Shank, as I mentioned above. They have bad aim but with the current nightfall rules they can take you down incredibly fast if you don't kill them ASAP.

And those shanks have a stupid fire shield, so your arc weapon takes a long time to kill them. Playing on a team I think I got killed by shanks more than anything else, because I'm so accustomed to them being one shot kills or easy melee kills.

I think he mentioned that he has yet to get a VOC. He has everything else except for that weapon.

I was able to burn through their shields on the Nightfall with a simple rare arc fusion rifle and kill them in 1-2 shots. Failing that, you can use an Ice Breaker or other Solar damage to dispatch them (Sunsinger solar grenades, Vision of Confluence, etc.).

That's because the RNG is giving them all to me every time I raid. Can't get gear but I'll put money on it I'm getting another VOC.

However, you CAN fish him out of cover by temporarily walking out on the ledge so he can see you. As soon as you see the warning, return to the "safe" part of the ledge, and you'll see the Archon Priest has (usually) teleported to the left side and will walk back toward the right side back into cover. That's your opportunity to deal damage/kill him.

That's typically what I do. Hang out on the ledge, lure him out, take a few shots and retreat. I can do solo just fine on the normal difficulty but typically lose patience and blow it when trying it on level 28. I got pretty close one time on level 28 and thought I had things under control when I got killed by a stealth vandal that I didn't see until it was too late.

One thing that suprised me though. I've been hiding out on the ledge and trying to lure him out for while since that was the only way I stood a chance solo but recently he has been teleporting behind me (when I'm trying to lure him out from that location on the right) and actually in the path I need to get back to the ledge. Has he always done that or did they address that in a patch? In most cases, I've been able to just run past him even though he's in the way since he doesn't seem to operate very well in that confined space.

Edit: Didn't know what platform people were talking about but after taking a look at a video of that, I think I'll at least try that to see how it goes.

Well, I'm sure it's great guys. But I would have preferred a Raid helmet or a Raid gun, like Gjallarhorn or something.
