The Jaguars went to Bortles too soon. He wasn't ready yet. That's not to say he can't be a good quarterback down the road, but he needs more time to develop.

Give it time. Don't forget they were going to sit him this year. I would expect to see some growth next year. Jacksonville doesn't exactly have great pieces surrounding him.

Neither do the Raiders, But Carr has looked really good with subpar talent around him

I can only imagine what he can do if we get the right prices around him

I can't pretend to say that I watch Raiders games on the regular lol. But he got his butt whooped when he played the Jets

Yes.

I'm a little biased, but I firmly believe he's been the best. I can only imagine what he'd look like behind a good OL.

Ryan Mallett out for season with torn pec. Hate to see someone finally get a chance and then have it end prematurely.

Trade deadline is this Friday.

Beckham has an easy schedule the rest of the way, so I almost wonder if I should trade one of the others instead. My biggest fear is that as soon as I trade one away they will dominate.

What if I did Gordon + Bernard (or Ellington) for Forte? I'm putting faith in the Broncos to stick with Anderson.

What do you guys think I should do?

I definitely need to move one WR.

But he's 1-10.
Mett could go 0-9 and I would still think he's the best rookie QB. But the W's are about to start coming for him.

Our next four games: Texans, Giants, Jets, Jags

We'll win at least two.

I wonder what will happen with Mallett. He's a free agent so I wonder if the Texans will try to sign him to a cheap prove-it deal and roll with him next year or if they'll look at a different free agent QB or even draft a QB. There's been rumors that they have interest in Brian Hoyer since Bill O'Brien coached Hoyer in New England.

Josh Gordon is just sick. First game back from suspension and had 8 catches for 120 yards and made a lot of other plays that didn't show up in the box score. Got out of a trick play gone wrong and also made tackles after Hoyer picks. He could still get a thousand yards the way Hoyer is forcing the ball to him. They had mostly receiver screens and intermediate routes in this first game back. He can get his thousand if they connect on some more deep bombs.

The guy is an all pro player. He just needs to stop getting in trouble.

I'd have to know your complete roster to offer any good advice.
Forte is a top back no doubt about it, but Gordon can be just as potent. His first game back he put up 20pts, and that's with NO Td's! Plus Cleveland might be playing some meaningful games down the stretch. Even if they somehow blow it, they might still be playing from behind and need to throw the ball more.
Sometimes the best trades are those that you never make.

Gordon had 12 points in standard leagues. The 20 would be from PPR.

Here's my roster:

QB - Stafford/Sanchez
WR - Megatron
WR - Gordon
WR - Julio
RB - Ellington
RB - CJ Anderson
TE - Fleener (I've been week to week on TEs for a while now)
FLEX - Bernard
DEF - KC/GB
K - Hauschka

BENCH:
Odell Beckham
Martavis Bryant
Reggie Wayne
Jerick McKinnon
Alfred Blue

So, notice I can start all my top tier WRs every week with the flex (and that's what I'll do this week), but I'm growing tired of Bernard and Ellington.

You start 3 WR's? Interesting. PPR is where it's at! I don't play in league unless they are PPR. I'm not into grinding out 69-62 wins. I want 150+, as FF(for me) is all about scoring baby...the higher the better.
That's not too shabby. I guess if you're not in love with Benard/Ellington, it would be a great trade for you. I doubt I would trade away Forte, unless I absolutely had to...so I would be quite surprised if the guy bit on a trade. If he needs WR help that much, he might counter for Megatron. Which you might go for, since you are so deep at WR.
OR, try to move Beckham. After that catch last night his stock can't be any possibly higher.

I think this might be a good thing for the Texans. He will be cheaper to keep now.
He played bad yesterday and many in the stadium were booing his bad passes. Now we see why his throws were so off. What I don't understand is why did they play him if they were aware of the injury before the game and especially once they started seeing he just didn't have it yesterday?

I don't believe the Hoyer rumors and one of the writers that covers the team says those rumors are not true either.

Starting three WRs is standard in Yahoo... I'm in a couple PPR leagues, but I topped 200 in a standard league this year. Very rare to only get 60 points. That's pretty weak.

And this guy offered me Forte for Anderson and Beckham already. So I can take it. But Forte has a tough stretch in playoff weeks, and Beckham has a super easy stretch.

I may just stick with what I have and keep Bernard or Ellington benched for now.

I'd give it to Teddy, based on what I've seen from them so far. That could easily change by the end of the year, though.
