Hdmi 1.3?

I was in my local Wal-mart today and saw hdmi 1.3 cables on the shelf. I just picked up the sammy 1200 which has the 1.3 version, but my pioneer pdp-5070 plasma doesn't have 1.3. Would this new hdmi cable make any difference in pq, audio, or general compatibility as opposed to my old hdmi cable?? Sometimes it takes a few tries for my tv to switch to proper input select and get a picture, but eventually comes on. Would the hdmi 1.3 cable rectify this?? Any help would be appreciated --Thanx
