I know they ditched the expanded universe but they established in it that Sith make their sabers differently than Jedi and they can be more unstable.

Mesa called Jar Jar Binks. Mesa your humble servant. Tis demanded by the gods it is. I like Jar Jar and I don't care who knows it. I'm truly serious here. Not playing. I started to go along with all the hate about him after hearing it so much, but once I watched Phantom Menace again it all went out the window. He was a sweet harmless side character.

I'm a huge fan of Jurassic Park and Star Wars, but the latter wins this round, imo. That teaser is great. Gave me goosebumps.

Interesting thoughts and they seem pretty plausible. Never thought about that being an "exhaust" but given the fact that it takes a few seconds longer to activate after the initial start of the lightsaber I could see it being that.

How do I block people on here again?

I, for one, fail to see why the falcon was made to be in IMAX.

I personally prefer the queen's chrome ship, or the Naboo fighters.
Those designs are so classy.

Just watched AOTC again today. WOW!
I still keep discovering new things after having seen it countless times.
The PT is so rich in detail, it boggles the mind. Literally!

The sound during the one hour climax is out of this world awesome!
The VFX are still pretty darn good, considering it's over 12 years old now.

Tomorrow, I am going to watch ROTS, and then the OT.

The OT had annoying droids too, most of all R2-D2 and C-3PO.

I liked the droid bit in the trailer. It's fun.
What was the Sith going to fight in the forest?
Snowflakes?

[Show spoiler]A friend attended a one off showing of AOTC in 3d only this week past It was accompanied by a Q and A session with Dennis Murren visual effects guru!.

The 3d by all accounts was phenomenal, non gimmicky. most impressive depth on display. and although ROTS will never be shown it was meant to have superior imagery. These will not be released - apparently.

Oh. I meant when she was making it. Since the film was in production for about 4 years or so.

I can't wait until people watch the film in the theater for the first time and see that Jar Jar is the one piloting the Falcon in that scene.

One could argue that we are seeing 'old stuff' being regurgitated again. Personally, I don't want a copy of any of the trilogies. I want something new and unique, like the previous two were.

I took the additions to the light saber as exhaust ports or something. This looks sick.

Why? I really like him as a character. He's harmless and sweet overall. He's just the typical well meaning bumbler.

The film was shot in 1997, so she was 16 during production.

I love my mom but once I heard her say that she didn't get the Jar Jar hate and that she found him funny. I wanted to be an orphan that day.

Except the Falcon scene elicits total geekgasm.

That… would actually be kind of awesome! Of course he would be one heck of an elderly Gungan. And maybe he grew beyond his well meaning bumbling to become a truly bada** Gungan warrior.
