Well, boo. Thanks for the quick response. If there's one thing that frustrates me about anime/domestic releases of it, it's that 90% of the time, you're not getting all of it. A release of a series isn't complete if there are OVAs or specials out there that aren't a part of the set. Complete means 100%. Is it really that difficult to license all of the specially-produced episodes/shorts, or is it that North American companies don't think it's worth it because the fans won't care?

They are related. They are set in the same city and the characters appear in each others shows. There is even a particular event which is covered from different perspectives in each show. Technically, Railgun is a spin-off from Index, as far as the original source material is concerned at least.

I enjoy these shows a lot. Railgun more so then Index but I like both.
I never did import them as they were too much but glad that they are getting a US release on blu ray finally. I have all the Index on blu ray and the movie should be here later this month along with the first Season of Railgun. I'm hoping that the release Railgun S later on around Christmas or ever before. I know that Funi will gouge us though and release them a singles part I and part II instead of just Season 2. |
