Default Frustrated

We are getting a lot of news of newly announced Blu-ray releases that have already been released on Blu-ray! Once I have a copy on Blu-ray, it's very doubtful that I will re-purchase the "Super Deluxe Edition". I'm fully aware that it's all about marketing and making the most money, but for God sakes, there still plenty of never before released movies to Blu-ray that could generate a bunch of money for the studios. Namely, GLADIATOR from DreamWorks!

I've been eagerly awaiting for Gladiator and would love to request it from DreamWorks but can't find a contact.

would you rather have a rushed out copy or a good copy of the movie?

I like how the OP went from a rant against studio strategy for double dipping, to a "I want _______ on blu-ray" post in 4 lines. Well played.

Watch this:

I hate how so many studios have inserts with crappy, boring artwork. Spend sometime and make good looking artwork for a movie like Star Wars. I want Star Wars on blu-ray, any idea when it is being released?

Well, Universal was a little late to the game, so Gladiator is understandably MIA.

SO what?
You will not buy them...ok.
Other people will.
Is there some odd shortage of new movies that I have not been made aware of?
Why worry about it?
Sounds to me like you are more upset because you won't have the best version.

Wait...is this topic about the frustrations of double dipping, or about wanting your favorite movies to be released now?

Not really clear what you are referring to. In most cases the first copy of a double dip BD is great and the second copy (the re-release) is the exact copy of the first just with more inserts and bonus material.

I'm sorry... Who's releasing all these re-releases? The only studio that I know of is Warner Brothers, and they have nothing to do with Gladiator. And what's more, they only are doing what? 4?

I'm not referring to one studio in particular. Nor, am I picking on one particular studio especially not WB because they have been the most faithful to BD IMO. FORGIVE ME EVERYBODY I'll crawl back in to my hole now.

It's just with the recent news of like: POTC Trilogy, 300, Christmas Story, Halloween, I Am Legend, etc all being re-released for a second go round when your favorite movie of all time still hasn't had its' first shot is disappointing.

Quick edit: PotC trilogy isn't a re-release, it's just a package deal of all 3 movies at once for a lesser price.
