Is Blu-ray Sony's trump card for future exclusive games?

It's a no brainer that GeoW3 will be on PS3. Microsoft only licensed the title for two iterations and, given it's success, it's _extremely_ unlikely that Microsoft could pony up the $$$ (it would take probably over 400 million at least to keep it) to hold onto it (unlike Halo where they bought the whole license right off that bat and own it completely).

With what GeoW2 is showing and promising right now, I think it's pretty obvious that to take it much farther they need Bluray. Dude Huge has always said that Gears is 'maxing out the 360 hardware' even after the first one... He also said that they were going to make the second one a little longer. I doubt they could make it too much longer without major HD install or multiple DVDs at this point and that can potentially alienate a lot of 360 'core' users.

Who knows. But, I'm 100% certain GeoW3 will be on PS3... Can't say if it will be exclusive, forced exclusive due to content, better or what. But, it will be on PS3.
