wow, this is wonderful news. Been quite a while since we've had anything John Wayne HD-related. I'll just be getting the separate releases of The Train Robbers and Cahill. Certainly not two of his best, but fun popcorn films. I have all the others, with the exception of Rio Bravo, which I couldn't even finish watching, the transfer was so poor.

And no SONS OF KATIE ELDER which leads me to believe Paramount will not release that one through Warners, but by themselves. After seeing the debacle they did on HATARI I wish they would surrender the reins of all their Dukes to Warners.

Would be great if they'd reissue a standalone for Rio Bravo, as it's OOP and I missed it the first time around... I don't have any interest in Cahill and Horse Soldiers, and I already own The Searchers, so I'll probably pass on this.

Great that Warner will release some Westerns from "Duke".

Hopefully they will release "McQ" in 2015 as well.

They probably will have a single release too. Alternatively you get this German release which is pretty cheap

It's official now. Rio Bravo standalone BD will also be released on June 2. No word on technical specs as yet, but I think it will be the same old transfer.

Yes! I can snag Rio Bravo standalone which I missed before and get Train Robbers and Cahill! (The other two I have, and I prefer standalone releases anyways. This is great news.)

I don't know about those cardboard page sleeves holding the discs, if that is indeed what they are. i wouldn't think sliding discs in and out of that would be all that great.

Otherwise, it looks nice.

Me too. I check TCM HD whenever I see it listed, and I'm always sad when it turns out to be the SD version. I would hope SWAYR would be a priority for Warners to remaster.

Personally, I have the John Wayne Epic Collection on DVD since that is 40 Movies...

I won't rush for these 5, especially since they're all in that DVD Collection!
