Most of the weapons are pretty decent, and if you count the fact that you can roll them to get what you want, it's pretty cool. Last time I got an arc rocket with tracking (rolled it for exactly that) and some warlock boots that aren't fugly. And grabbed the scout and a shotgun with long range just for grins. The best part of it all is I get X reward for doing X rather than getting a .0001 chance of X for doing X.

That's what i figured for weapons, I don't expect to get access to all armor until it's not needed anymore......

They're nice to have as many things are situational. Such as Phogoth Nightfall as its easy to blind the witches in the hallway and then blast them from up top.

I do like Jolder's Hammer which I got from IB, I also had 3 Perun's Fire fusion rifles which I rolled to arc, and void, with solar being default IIRC. I grinded that out to get the lvl 30 gear, then got the armor in VoG anyway.

I do understand that the shotgun from the previous IB is amazing in PvP.

Exactly the reason why I'm going to pick up another. It's my most transferred weapon. I've had a few weird things happen both via browser/mobile app that I'm scared this guy will somehow end up with it and I'll have to drag my wife down to San Diego and have her teach him a lesson.

With pretty much everyone here being as experienced as they are, VoG, and especially Crota's End will definitely not take 3+ hours to beat. Crota's End on normal can be beat in 40 minutes; I've done it many times. You mentioned quite a while back that you had 4 Radiant Shards. The only way you could have obtained those would be to do Crota's End. So you at least grabbed the first chest twice. If you're not willing to team up with other people AND use a mic, you'll never get the best gear in the game. Plain and simple.

VOG on Hard can be beaten in probably less than 45 minutes and Crota on Hard can beaten within an hour. I have 3, LV32s and I have never even touched Crucible or any other PVP like event.

If the biggest issue is your microphone, why not just use the one that the Playstation came with?

the first time i went vog. it was at least 3 hours. we did take breaks as well.

Yup first time I went VOG 5 months ago it was at least 13 hours. That didn't stop me and now its under an hour. Just don't be discouraged, many of us here have already said we wouldn't mind taking you in. All we ask is you put on a mic for an hour so we can communicate. Its frustrating talking into a screen and hoping the other person listens. All you need to do is say ok ok ok and mute when you don't want to talk.
