Also, is it possible that T2 was somewhat of an exact transfer from the T2 DVD's that were released? Maybe that's why it looks so bad. Like the early Laserdisc to DVD days. Personally, and I keep saying this, I think if THX gets into Blu-Ray, they need to just set up new standards that are completely unlike the old ones. I don't think anyone who buys a THX title will go "oh great, another piece of crap."

Did you even read my link for Mi Casa? They did the home video remixes for all three of the theatrical and extended LOTR's.
