That's just plain retarded.
How do you not price match yourself? So your saying, Wal-Mart can sell an HDTV for 500 bucks online, but when you go in store to get one, you have to pay 1000 bucks because they don't price match THEMSELVES.

Stupid.

Some of the policies are so stupid. I feel sorry for my parents as in their town Wal-Mart is all there is (no target, circuit city, best buy, etc) and their Wal-Mart does NOT pricematch anybody.

Technically they're separate entities. Similarly, Target's website sales are run through Amazon.com... and Target will tell you that they're fine with you never shopping there again before they'll price match Target.com.

By the way, it's just Walmart now. They thought the star wasn't customer friendly.

You may try asking a CSM next time, if you didn't get ahold of one in the first place. The one by me has price matched Walmart.com on many occasions.

I have gotten into the habit of buying new catalogue release wherever I can find them and then ordering them from Walmart.com site to store shipping and then taking that back to the original store. It's kind of a pain in the ass, but the Walmart I use is close to home and I pass it everyday to and from work, so it's not like going out of my way.

Walmart is beginning to pull some real crap moves lately. When Best Buy had 24 seasons for 16.99, I went to Walmart to get season 6 and had them price match and they made a big deal about the price match (their price 49.99). For a store that is built on the reputation and marketing of having the absolute lowest prices, they sure are becoming shiesters! There was a time when my Walmart stores used to look at competitore ads and actually drop prices to a couple cents below the advertised sales.

Wal-Mart online price = Best Buy/Circuit City price match.

Let WM keep pricing online lower....I'll keep taking advantage.

Me, too. Actually, I pre-ordered "Mortuary" on BD and got it 3 weeks before the street date! And it only took 2 days from when I placed the order. Very happy with WM.
