I work at a movie theater and last month Fox sent out new posters for FF that they wanted up ASAP. The only differences between the old and new was that the Real D logo was no longer there and it no longer said See it in 3D. It now only says in premium large format theaters.

Not sure if it was shot with 3D in mind...but if it was and they dropped it, then it's another reason this mess should bomb.

Certain it was going to be a conversion of 3D, not filmed in 3D. The reshoots reportedly were costly, so rather than 3D, they spent the money on the reshoots instead.

The refreshed site sadly doesn't have that on it from what I could see.
It would've been nice though to see this in 3D.

I also saw a giant cardboard prop of Fantastic Four August 7, 2015 in Cinemark but nothing about 3D on it.

This movie is going to be terrible. The casting is awful and they got writers who aren't even fans of the books to write it. Strong 3D was the only thing that may have made this bearable.

I like Jordan and Teller, they are both terrific actors but they are miscast here.

Just like bad casting has them rebooting Spiderman already, this one is DOA before it even hits the theater.

Big mistake if they're dropping the 3D on this (which it sounds like they are). Will be the first superhero movie since what must be 2010 that's not being released in 3D. I will still check it out but no 3D decreases my interest a bit.

What do you mean? You don't like "misanthropic blogger" Hobo Doom?

This movie makes Terminator: Genisys look like genius casting.

If the 2015 Fantastic Four movie gets the story right with great character motivation and a powerful villain, then there is hope it could be good even if it doesn't get the comic book details right. I'll be honest, I never read the comics (aside from one issue when I was a kid and was a fan of The Thing) so the casting is not really a big deal to me personally as long as the actors can act believably.

I can understand the comic book fans not liking the changes, but I'm guessing many people didn't read the comics.

I'd interpret it as a lack of faith in the movie rather than a lack of faith in 3-D. This isn't a blow for 3-D.
