RT score has never affected my ability to enjoy a movie, the fact that this looks terrible actually helps it. Definitely looks like Story's FF will be the best FF for a long time though. Hard to top Ioan Gruffold(sp), Michael Chiklis, Jessica Alba and Chris Evans, especially with this underwhelming bunch. As to those saying superhero overload, it hasn't happened to me since I still only go to the ones I want to see and flat out avoid the rest.

This has looked like complete garbage since the beginning and it looks like that's how it has turned out based on the early reviews. I seriously doubt a sequel with this cast and crew will happen. I'm guessing either another reboot in a few years or Fox finally gives up this franchise to Disney/Marvel.

Near the end, Teller's Reed comments on the status of the group's actions by proclaiming, “We opened this door, we're gonna close it.” The sooner the better.

Damn. I knew the reviews were gonna be bad, but they are just being sassy.

Sue's hair looks so odd in the still used on the video page.

Don't forget Green Lantern was directed by the same guy that gave us Casino Royale. Totally different genre, so maybe that's where the problem lie there, but the fact still remains, just because a filmmaker has done great stuff, doesn't mean everything they do is going to be great. You can't really blame a studio for hiring the wrong guy if he has merit. Although, you can blame them for approving the pitch, the script, and the casting prior to handing it over to a director before the actual filming takes place.

We live in hope.

Personally, I think the best prospect is for Marvel Studios to regain the FF and gradually introduce these characters within its shared movie universe.

I'd say the best approach would be by giving us what feels like genuinely authentic portrayals, rehabilitating the characters and preparing the ground for perhaps yet another attempt at their own standalone film further down the line.

The thing is, some people believe the Fantastic Four doesn't work well for a movie, just because we've seen all these failures with the property. I believe Marvel would do it right, especially if integrated into the greater MCU. And I don't believe Marvel would let it sit too long on the shelf once they got the rights back, like some folks think. Look how long it took them to announce their Spider-Man project after The Amazing Spider-Man 2 was released. Not very long at all.

That would be great, especially if they did it very slowly. For example, Ben Grimm's the muscle, so they could introduce him on one of the Netflix shows, hanging around the slums protecting kids during the day. Maybe even show him in a conversation with Jessica Jones or Matt Murdock, and then branching from there to Reed Richards. Later on, a similar incident could introduce MCU versions of Sue and Johnny, possibly by having Dr. Storm work with Bruce Banner, or even the Nova Corps. Another good idea would be saying that Dr. Storm met Peter Quill's father, before his mother died. There's many different ways they could keep the characters believable...once the legal crap's out of the way.

The general consensus on this site seems to be that Terminator was good though, or have people started coming to their senses now?

well i for one DO NOT want MARVEL to regain this property. Unless they turn it into a Netflix TV show. We do not need anymore FF feature films for a VERY VERY long time.

I hated TG and it's easily my least favorite film of 2015. FF would probably be right up there with it, but I'm not even going to bother watching it.

I like how one of the reviewers who DID give this film a positive review is David Jenkins of timeout/little white lies who gave this one a 4/5 review gave Ant man only 2/5 , Deer Hunter 3/5, and Blade Runner only 3/5.
So I guess this one is better than Blade Runner guys

I disliked Genisys as well, but take a look at the ratings in that thread and you'll see where I'm coming from.

Instead of blaming reviewers, how about blaming Fox for making a movie that (by all indications so far) is a turd?

Give each member of the group their own origin movie, then have them team-up for the Fantastic Four.

All joking aside, the best way to do F4 is to just not focus on the origin story; have them already have powers, be either feared or loved, and move on from there.
