Yes. As long as you had them in the past, you will have a permanent blueprint to acquire them again in the future.

The only thing that's changing is some Year 1 Exotics will be getting makeovers and newer perks, while some will remain as they are in their current form.

No one knows exactly for sure how the leveling system will work, but I am pretty certain that a Gjallarhorn, Hard Light, or Vex Mythoclast (which will not currently be eligible for a makeover) can have the same attack power as a Year 2 SUROS Regime through the new Infuse system.

My guess is that's exactly what it's going to tell you. Telling you how to get the dead orbit shader is going to be "level up dead orbit for rank up packages to obtain shader". You'll rank them up the exact way you do now. By completing bounties of some sort that will absolutely include things like kill 100 enemies, etc, etc.

I would be absolutely floored if it was completely overhauled to the point of "obtain revenant shader by completing the dark below mission"

They said that once you acquire something from a faction package, such as a Revenant shader from Dead Orbit, the shader will be removed from the table so you will only be able to acquire Bittersteel, Nowhere, or The Hanged Man.

I remember seeing the Queen's Crown emblem not being unlocked for DeeJ, and it had the instructions of "purchase from Petra Venj," so I assume it's rather simple.

I am also assuming that for a shader like Arctic Proxy, it will say, "rank up with the Cryptarch."

Personally I think this is all strategy. Generate buzz by leaving us with more questions than answers. Because they really didn't take time to explain the things they didn't take time to explain.

Exactly. There's still plenty of time before TTK comes out. Just because it isn't shown on screen during these streams doesn't mean it's the "end all be all" of information.

You get the cipher points as soon as the boss is dead. If you wipe and kill the same boss a few times you'll get the points over and over.

A normal 34 takes 40 minutes or so. The boss takes five minutes. You can do the cipher in one run full run with three boss kills instead of three full runs and save yourself an hour and a half.

Just do it with friends instead of randoms.

I was looking over the video and the weapons that will not be carried over (yet) only have a base attack of 160, while the ones that will be carried over have a base attack of 280. They can also be improved further by infusing them.

I'm curious if the ones that will not be carried over can also be infused to the same attack, but obviously with more weapons traded in.

If you already have the exotic weapon or armor maxed out, I assume that when 2.0 releases, the exotic will scale down to the appropriate new attack power.

In order to unlock the 2.0 versions of weapons and armor, however, you need to spend 150 Legendary Marks in the Exotics Collection, thus "reacquiring" the same exotic with a new set of perks and stats that will have to be further maxed out from scratch.

Perhaps this is why exotics will be rolled out in waves? 150 marks is a lot, and this may give players breathing room. Just a guess.


What's the max stat in weapons now? I'm super curious, will different leveled weapons give me a better boost when I sacrifice them?
