The episode is "The Man Who Killed Batman."

That scene always makes me laugh. I say "Well, that was fun! Who's for Chinese?" A LOT when something frustrating happens and it passes.

Always reminded me of the Max Fleischer Superman cartoons with the art deco styles. As a kid I could tell it was a bit more mature than Spider-Man and X-Men. Related, I'm a little disappointed I missed out on most of the Mondo Phantom City Creative prints. They look amazing.

I am one of five people alive who thought Batman Beyond was of a comparable quality, especially since this series dipped a bit in quality in the final season.

I liked "Batman Beyond" as well, to the point I'd love a live-action film based on it. Maybe a few years from now, Affleck could play the aged Bruce Wayne, passing the mantle to Terry after being crippled in battle.

Unless I've missed a major release, I don't think BTAS has been released on blu-ray as of yet. Still only DVD.

There are no Blu-Rays for the series. And as far as I can tell, there are no individual episodes listed as extras on DC animated movies. I tried to check via Google and no dice.

There are, for instance The Killing Joke contains "Old Wounds" and "Christmas with the Joker".

Don't know about all the others, but many DC animated releases (particularly Batman ones as they like the bonus episodes to tie-in in some way to the main film) have an episode or two, though I think those are still in SD.

A proper restoration of the series would be similar to CBS' work on Star Trek: The Next Generation. In short, they'd have to find all of the elements, re-scan the line art in HD, clean every frame, re-color the whole thing, and possibly re-record some dialogue (depending on how the originals were preserved). Even with Batman being DC's most popular character, I doubt WB would spend that kind of money or time on the show.

Considering WB wouldn't spend any extra money to give Peter Jackson the proper UCE of Lord of the Rings that he wanted, it will be a cold day on the sun before WB shells out any money for Batman: The Animated Series.

I’ve got a question, I have this set on BD and I saw it’s on HBO Max as well, my question is, on the main page it listed “the cat and the claw” part 1 as the 1st episode, but when I looked at the booklet inside of the BD, it listed “On leather wings” so which one is the very 1st episode of this show?
