This reminds me something like Lion in Winter which I also liked very much.

If you like "Lion in Winter" you will LOVE "A Man For All Seasons." It's simply that good with performance to match those in "Lion."

It appears that A Man For All Seasons is sold out at SAE. It still appears that Twilight Time's site has some for sale (I was able to get an order in at least), so those whom still want it but have been holding off may want to place an order while they still can.

Yeah TT made a comment on FB last week that they were going to try to get some more stock over to SAE before the sale ends. Was also following it over at Home Theater Forum. Hopefully they get more stock in this week.

I want to do another order before the sale ends and was hoping to add this title to my order if possible.

Yes, I got an email from SAE yesterday about the sale, and A Man for All Seasons was listed as SOLD OUT. I'm not sure if SAE underestimated how many they would sell is the reason they sold out, and they will get more from TT. Or it's close to going OOP..?? It wasn't listed anywhere as being "almost gone" either on the TT site or here on the TT release page...

Getting very close to selling out. A truly magnificent film. I am glad this one has been a good seller for TT.

Sorry for reviving this thread ... and not even to talk about A Man For All Seasons (which I own). But I had a Genevieve Bujold itch which needed scratching ... which in turn brought me to a search for Anne of the Thousand Days ... which in turn brought me to this thread. I couldn't find any other discussion of it.

I found 2 different blurays for Anne of the Thousand Days. Can anybody tell me if one is better than the other? I think the first link below is for the German version and the 2nd is from Spain.

Reading through the thread, I hope all who were watching and waiting who wanted a copy got one.
Now that I've watched my copy that I purchased a year ago, I'll chime in with my opinion of the transfer. I found the viewing very very nice with the following exceptions:
1. It was a bit harsh as compared to filmic
2. The Edge Enhancement haloing was noticeable and distracting when it occurred but luckily was not prevalent. I can't believe this was present was on the OCN.
Highly detailed and colorful, but a bit over-processed. ;-)
