There is no reason why, at least, not a rational, sensible one.
Fox are going to release the series in Australia on 26 October. If no UK release materializes, simply buy the Australian Blu-ray. The US release is virtually guaranteed to be region locked . |

Which, ironically, is also being released by Fox in Australia, though here, I suspect the US release will be region free, unless there is US-specific licensed content in the extra material, like the US version of the bonus Blu-ray in Kingdom of Heaven 10th Anniversary Edition, which had those A&E documentaries that caused Fox to lock that disc. The extra disc in the US-only "Gold Record Edition" of the first season of Empire was also locked, too.
