It'd be nice to have a $19.99 or so release week price on one of these Lionsgate catalog titles (they really add up over time). l'll admit this is probably my highest want among the Vestron line so far. It, too, scared me as a kid and I've always enjoyed it during revisits and am even a fan of the sequel. Speaking of, I really hope it's a double feature with the second movie... Please! I know the sequel doesn't have similar fanfare, but it's probably the only real opportunity to ever have this film with a decent release. The dvd's been out of print for ages and wasn't a good transfer to begin with.

This is a fun movie and I've only ever seen it looking very rough, so if it comes out on Blu-ray there should be a big jump in quality.

I liked this movie too as a kid, but holy cow what a hair and clothing mess!! Day one purchase for me!!

If this proves to in fact be The Gate, with hopefully its sequel attached or at least released separately on the same date, then 2017 will be off to a smashing start!
