They ship everything via DHL express these days regardless of the shipping speed you select, so anything you order from them usually arrives within 2-3 days. Their estimate delivery times when placing an order are based on their old shipping system, they really need to update it.

That's insane! Yeah, in comparison $8.50 isn't so bad, though shipping takes forever. I'll be lucky to get my preorder before May 1st.

Really? Has JB Hifi's international delivery gotten that slow? The last item I ordered from them was in late 2015 and it didn't seem that bad--maybe 2-3 weeks.

I purchase from JBHifi regularly but only in their 20% off promotions so last buy was at start of the year. Orders to the UK still take 2 to 3 weeks.

i usually use ebay sellers beathebomb or toysandfilms for stuff from Oz. Much quicker than JB HIFI.

Maybe shipping to the US is faster or I've just been unlucky. The last couple of orders I've had took almost 8 weeks to arrive.

For anyone who pre-ordered this, I noticed on the JB site that it is now part of a B2G1 promo, in case you want to cancel it and re-order with some other titles.

Did anyone receive their copy, yet? JB Hi-Fi has a sale on, so it would be time to order for me.

Went into JB today and purchased a copy - nice and cheap with the 20% off. I also got the Blu Ray of American Honey and the DVD of the Gene Hackman/Barbara Streisand 1981 oddity All Night Long.

I checked Day of the Jackal in my player and it looked great. Only 8 chapters no special features. I forgot to check for subtitles but there wasn't any options for that on the menu.

Ordered Day of the Jackal along with Fletch Lives and Suddenly Last Summer. I had ordered them before but I had to cancel and re-order. So I bought all three as part of the B2G1 free promo, along with the 20% discount as well as the extra 10% discount.

Got my copy today. One of my favourite films and I've watched the DVD version many times. The print on this BD has not been restored in any way, and looks like this HD master was struck a while ago as there are specks in the print at times, but this is still the best I've seen the film in a long time. I don't think a proper restoration will be forthcoming any time soon, so It's very much worth the asking price.

It was a promo code sent to people on the JB Hi Fi mailing list as part of their Instant Deals.

I was just about to cancel my original pre-order and pull the trigger on the B2G1 promo w/the additional 20% off, but I didn't realize shipping was actually $8.49 per movie, so the third movie isn't actually free. I guess the last couple times I've ordered from them I only ordered one movie at a time so I didn't know about their shipping policy.

Yeah, I wasn't expecting anything special. As long as it's anamorphic and as good as the hd version that was on Netflix a while back, it'll do. People keep saying that it'll pop up in the US at some point, but I'm not willing to wait any longer.

I was in the same boat. I definitely wanted Fletch Lives but I really couldn't find another title, especially since it wasn't actually gonna be free--the total shipping cost for 3 movies was 26 bucks.

Thanks for the update. Most Australian releases seem to be region free, at least all of the Shock and Viavision releases that I own. Do you know if Fletch Lives is region-free as well?
