She is with SC in the UK, though (it's with Warner in the US). Hopefully SC starts releasing those historic/prehistoric stuff after the upcoming 8 titles are released (I especially want The Viking Queen & The Vengeance of She released).

Not Hammer, but don't SC own one or two the unreleased Amicus anthologies?

Can't remember - it's a while since I checked.

As I have posted many times the On the Buses films are also Studio Canal.

Indicator only seem to have access to Sony titles. So no point asking them for a wish list of Hammer titles when other studios have most of them. Particularly when it's the likes of Studio Canal who don't appear open to licencing their titles to independent distributors.

13th November 2017
Dr. Jekyll and Sister Hyde
Straight On Till Morning
To The Devil A Daughter
Horror Of Frankenstein

Most of the titles will have extra features such as commentaries.

Some good out of ordinary titles here. Hope Scars won't be a censored version.

Scars has always been the censored UK cinema version.

United Kingdom A hammer film production

If Scars of Dracula is cut, witch I doubt, fans like me will not buy it ! I won't ! The UK dvd I have from Studio Canal is NOT cut. My Anchor Bay dvd is NOT cut. I misunderstood, I thought they were cutting some scenes out from the dvd or released version. My mistake. Can't wait to see it on Bluray !

RickBond007: all DVD releases of Scars are in fact cut as Markgway says.
The stabbing of the wench by Dracula is slightly reduced (though I suspect it was filmed to excessive length to get more footage passed) and the subsequent shots of Dracula lapping blood from the wound are all cut too. The sound effects of Kloves' back being singed by Dracula's sword were also apparently toned down. Really though, it is only the blood lapping that is significant in its' omission. I don't expect it to be restored though as I believe cut material didn't make it to foreign cuts of Hammer's films during this period due to the distribution troubles Hammer were suffering, amongst other factors (for eg. the US often cutting the films more heavily than the BBFC anyway), and therefore nothing exists to restore.

To be honest, lost footage is the least of Scars' worries; one can't change the slipshod production values which make the film look overwhelmingly cheap and tacky. It's best enjoyed for the still OTT gore and the fun hamming from Patrick Troughton, but easily one of the lesser of Studio Canal's upcoming releases. Not saying I won't get it though!

I don't think they have any anthologies. IIRC, in the UK they have the Dalek films (already out on Blu) A Touch of Love (non-horror), They Came From Beyond Space (Sci-Fi) The Terronauts (oh lord, that is so bad it's superb), The Beast Must Die, I, Monster, The Land That Time Forgot (out in region A) and At the Earth's Core (out in Region A).

I have no idea who owns the handful that have not even seen a DVD release.

Not SC in the UK. It was rumoured to be coming from Icon years ago, but all went quiet. Kronos is another rumoured title that vanished, but did turn up in Australia with all the extras at least.

As I've said already, they have a deal with Network who have released a lot of movies from their vaults SC aren't interested in themselves, which has included some non-horror Hammers already as well as Amicus' The Terrornauts (on DVD only, alas).

Sorry for intruding in the Hammer thread again, but...

...can we definitively say who owns the UK and US rights to the remaining Amicus anthologies (by which I mean those not currently on Blu-ray Disc):

- The House That Dripped Blood
- Asylum
- From Beyond the Grave

And by 'owns' I mean 'who has them licensed now or, if no one has licensed them, who owns the right to release them themselves OR license them'.

Cheers.

From Beyond the Grave was a Warner dvd so I'd expect a Warner Archive for that is the best hope.
As to the other 2 , no idea.

House might be with ITV. It was a Rank VHS and ITV own the Rank library these days but that's not certain

From Beyond the Grave is Warner.

I'm not sure about the other two, they've had several licensees over the years. Whoever owns Cinerama's stuff now, I guess. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cinera...ng_Corporation Possibly MGM since they have Tales From the Crypt but to my knowledge have never released these two on DVD so probably not.

And the Anchor Bay dvd set only seems to credit the original production companies with no clues as to who owns what

https://www.amazon.de/dp/B0753FLFKG?...eywords=Hammer I just found this on Amazon Germany. Is this an excellent deal or what? I expected the price to be at least 100 euros! Unless Amazon UK comes up with a similar deal, this is what I'm going for. It might even be a mistake. Jump on it!

Released by Studio Canal (7 x BD50)
Could be exactly the same discs as U.K. stand alones but with German titling on the labels and artwork.

The only problem is the box set appears to be rated FSK18. I tried to order Vampire Circus recently from Amazon DE, this too was rated FSK18 and Amazon DE said they could not despatch this to the UK.
