One of the great things about the first was the creature was hidden the whole movie until its fantastic reveal at the end. Now we know what they look like they lose a lot of their malevolence. Thats not Predators fault but it does little to return them to the unstoppable killing machine from the original. It even does the face palming "friendly Predator" thing.

I remember reading a fair bit at the time about the new creatures that would appear in the movie. Well they amount to little more than a couple of Resident Evil castaways. Brody is a fine actor but totally miscast. Special ops hard nut? Nope, not buying it. The dialogue is awful. The score and sound is pretty good but only because it copies the original.

I'm also fed up with every Predator movie feeling the need to have a different alien design. The original Winston creation is just as effective as it was then. It doesn't need to keep being altered just for the sake of it. i'm sure The Predator will do the same next year.

As mentioned thought he worst part was making the Predators less threatening. The original wiped out a whole platoon of badasses and yet three cant kill and old man and two guys with no guns. OK I get that these were probably young Predators but whatever.

I bet you could if you tried! Meh, opinions sminions of course but it did little for me. Glad you enjoyed it though I am really hoping next years movie gives us a long overdue excellent Predator sequel.
