In my opinion the Sharp doesn't belong on that list. The picture quality is nowhere near that of the Panasonic and especially that of the Pioneer. Sharp has some of the worst color accuracy in the business. Their high end models do better, but still won't come close to the other two.

A friend of mine has a 46" Sharp Aquos, and he has it set on "Cinema" mode.
Every time I watch a movie on that TV... I want to claw my eyes out! Reds just bloom and bleed all over the place.

Well that's your opinion

Well maybe your friend does not have it calibrated, and is just using the out of the box settings.

Have you calibrated your set? I've often wondered how much that might help.

Yeah, I had my tv calibrated by Abt Electronics where I bought my tv and the picture looks great. Now when I got the tv out of the box the pq was not all the impressive. So I called the store and they said their display tv's are all calibrated so I had them come do mine.

That explains a lot...
I will have to bring my Avia disk over to my friends house.

My limited experience with Sharp TV's have not been good. They never look that great in stores, and I only know one person that owns one and it doesn't look good either.

Yeah maybe thats all his tv needs is to be calibrated. There is two Sharp's in my house a 52" and my 46" and I couldnt be any happier with the PQ.
