The problem is that a similar strategy was a total failure for the DUDers. People either want HD, or SD...to buy it because it has both does NOT work because of the higher price (when compared to DVD). So the plan is to flood the market with 25GB hybrid discs? Not what anybody with a real dedication to the format would want. Cutting down on extras (due 25GB), PQ, and AQ quality to have two 9GB layers of SD. Please, they should not insult our intelligence with this nonsense. The problems this would cause with existing players would be significant, and to what avail?? This would just give the FUDers a lot of ammo and deservingly so. Most early adopters will not promote, support or defend this "idea", starting with me. If they want to promote or PUSH something...how about movies like LOTR in 100 GB BD discs, now that makes sense. I will make my feelings known of this issue anywhere I see it discussed because it is total garbage.
