Gallipoli is number one on my Paramount catalog wish list.

I do have some updating to do in this thread, but I'm working on few other studios right now. So the updates (and corrections) will be more regular when I'm finished with the others.

aren't the Dreamworks titles going over to Fox now, I've lost track on who owns what.

I think that deal only pertains to new DreamWorks animated films.

Confusingly, DreamWorks Animation and DreamWorks are completely separate companies, and have been for a number of years.

This is true. If you prefer US releases over European ones (and I count myself in this group) then you're going to get burned buying imports (as I have). You just have to count the money against how much you really like the film and how often you're going to watch it.

I was pretty bummed when a domestic release of Charlie Wilson's War was announced just weeks after I picked up the UK BD, but I like Witness enough to buy it several times and count myself glad to own each of them, even on my meager salary.

Paramount movies released on Blu-ray since the last update. The pre-1950 movies are owned by Universal, so those movies will be moved to the Universal thread when they are integrated into the main lists.

Default Paramount's new YouTube channel

FYI, Paramount has created a new YouTube channel with over 100 films from its vault available for free streaming (with YouTube commercials). The range is everything from classics to schlock. Right now, I'm checking out No Man of Her Own.

Paramount has done HD masters of almost all of their movies yet they don't really lease them out to anyone for a blu-ray release. I would also vote to keep the Paramount movies from 1929-1949 in this thread.

I agree. Those should be discussed in the Universal thread, or even Criterion since they have been licensing quite a few from that time period.

It seems preaty rare that that the more recent Paramount catalog releases (the ones since the Warner deal) get much lower than 13 bucks.

It's too bad that Paramount, Sony/Columbia, Universal, etc. don't have a branch like Warner Archive for fans of classic films to suggest titles to, to ask questions and actually get them answered the way Warner Archive do. And to actually release catalog titles on Blu-ray. If they would do this, I believe they would see more interests than what they think.

If anyone is interested, VUDU has Dragonslayer 1981 for digital purchase, for only $6.99. I just purchased it, until a blu becomes available.

Hopefully, they can get Prophecy 1979, War of the Worlds 1953, When Worlds Collide, etc.

Update: VUDU actually has HD copies of When Worlds Collide and I Married A Monster From Outer Space! They also have Them!, Tarantula, It Came From Outer Space, most of the Harryhausen collection and Revenge of the Creature.

It always has come in 3D, but it’s just red-blue anaglyph, not proper 3D.

yes, I understand that. Hence the red/blue glasses. But my understanding that the prior blu-ray of F13#3 was in 2D only. So - anaglyph 3d is better than no 3d, imho. The prior blu-ray of F13#9 (JGTH) was only the highly edited cut. The director's cut was only available on DVD, to the best of my knowledge. unfortunately, it looks like this set only has the first 8 films. drat..

The previous Blu always had the anaglyphic 3D.
