Paramount just needs to scale back and re-evaluate their business strategy. Clearly, things are not going well. It might serve Paramount well to focus on properties that had a solid history or something worth taking a chance on. Adapting anime properties or tacking on sequels to franchises that frankly need a breather or a reset. Star Trek is 3 films into it's new universe, a new creative team and director would do well to correct the ship for another 2+ movies as the cast is not the issue. Friday the 13th, yes....the red headed step child. Here's a thought, stop re-inventing the friggin wheel we don't need Jason in the year 2017, keep it the 70's and 80's with the right crew it'd relaunch the franchise. The Jack Ryan universe... this is a tough one, but get Tom Clancy back on board. Take a low budget chance on some lesser known directors, plot concepts and different source material. It's time to hit the reset and bring in some new ideas. The industry needs competition, but the competition needs to try something new....
