lol. a 50GB game on your HDD... nice.


PS. Sorry about the last post. I though it was asking if there was any way to rip blu-ray movies onto your HDD

No you can't copy your Blu-ray game to PS3 HDD. Even if you were able to do so, there is no way to transfer it to your PC for burning.

It's impractical to have games on your HDD, since you only will be able to have one or two games considering they use the entire 25GB or even 50GB games in the future. HD-gaming's shear size will make digital piracy a thing of the past. Soon the black markes will be propagating real disks that were simply stolen.

As for movie downloads, it's already happening, but it pretty stuipd though. Why? because most "HD" video you can find on Bittorent trackers are poorly encoded, with very low bitrate to reduce size. I have seen 720p rips with the same bitrates as a standard DVD (480p) rip. Basicaly there will be no difference in quality than a DVD rip. Thus kills the point to rip "HD movies" in the first place.

However a lot of people are satisfied with watching stuff on You Tube, and have much lower quality standards than I do. I want qulaity, thus i buy discs.
