Pretty confident I'll be buying multiple versions of this.

Got the 3D Steelbook and 4K versions pre-ordered so far, imagine I'll pick up the Big Sleeve version as well.

Hoping for IMAX aspect ratio and Dolby Atmos on the standard Blu-ray - suspect we will have to make do with neither, still can't wait for this release though.

Hoping the standard Blu comes with an Atmos or DTS:X track but not crossing my fingers. I think I'll pick it up in the 3-Movie pack.

Why a petition. The 3D release usually have the IMAX sequences

I don't know if Disney will give a crap (I doubt it) but in the US they don't get 3D releases anymore so people have to import, and even if you are watching 3D forced to 2D to get the ratio you get the wandering black bar on the left plus all of the brightness/colour differences of 3D. I'd buy a 2D IMAX version in a heartbeat, but I've given up on the 3D releases.

Isn't this the longest gap between a cinema release and a home video release by Disney?

No. The timetabling parallels exactly the timing of the home video release of Guardians of the Galaxy 2 by Marvel last year.

It's not even the longest gap between a cinema release and a home video release of an Avengers film - in fact it's the shortest with both Avengers and Age of Ultron taking 4 months and weeks compared to this one's 4 months and 1 week.

Fair enough, it just seems like a long time when you're waiting for an amazing film.

What if Disney/Marvel included a way to have two separate versions of the film you can watch on Blu Ray 3D, being of the two Aspect Ratio versions, as you can choose to either watch it in the 2.40:1 anamorphic widescreen aspect ratio or watch it in the true definitive way, in the IMAX 1.9:1 Epic Full Frame aspect ratio, the way the film was meant to be seen. I’m only making that an exclusive opinion on Blu Ray 3D, because all of Disney/Marvel’s Blu Ray 3D releases have always included the stuff that was Specially Formatted for the IMAX versions of these films.

Seems a bit odd to make a fuss about it being the first big film like this to be shot entirely in IMAX and then not have the home video release reflect that.
