in this economy the people who would spend 1k+ on blus in one shot probably already own all the ones they want.

but you never know....just set a minimum amount you would take and it can't hurt

And you could sell them here individually. No eBay fees.
i'd get paypal fees and shipping fees though.

yeah that's what i'm trying to get an idea of what would be a good minimum? i don't want to totally lose my ass but i'm not trying to sell movies at MSRP either. i'm seriously just trying to see if it's worth it to sell or better to just keep them in my library? it is nice to have a better selection than my local hollywood video. and i still have blu fever and am constantly buying new movies. just not as heavily as i once was.

You will get over a grand on ebay. Peoplelike the idea of winning an instant collection and selling off the ones that they dont want. On ebay quantity does make a difference on these types of lots. I have seen lots of just craptacular movies go for quite a bit. If you post they will bid and if not you can enjoy your own flicks.

I'd put them on the trading forum first.... otherwise I'd say $1,400 and you eat the shipping/fees via Ebay....... You could probably make a little more if you sell them individually, but with shipping/fees/time it's probably not worth it.

First of all what's the condition those movies are in?
All of them have been watched at least once I suspect.
How do you take care of the discs and cases? (mint?)
The ones that do have Digital Copies, did you use the codes, yet?

Now that should determine how much you can actually get, or where your starting price should be... maybe even a reserve price.

I would if all are in excellent condition start at about $750 - $800 and put a reserve at about $980 then go from there.

Shipping cost... the lot should be anywhere between 18 - 20 lbs I would guess.

So shipping cost would be -

Priority Mail $45.00 + $12.00 insurance ($1000) + 2.50 signature confirmation = $59.50

Express Mail $80.00 + $4.00 extra insurance ($1000) = $84.00

You might actually be better off to sell a few "more expensive" titles on here first and then settle for a smaller ebay auction, imo.

mint condition. probably 25 percent of my collection sealed. the other 75 percent, have been watched 1 time or less. and what i mean by that, is that i bought the movie and took it out of the package to see what the disc looks like, or planned to watch it and never did.

mint. they sit on the shelf til i watch the movie after that, back to the shelf. i don't smoke and i don't have kids.

i have never once used a digital copy. there are maybe 2 or 3 that i bought used that don't have digital copies anymore but all the rest have digital copies intact.

The "SELL ME YOUR MOVIES" link in your sig looks really good below that long list of movies you'd like to sell.

OK, I'll be honest: Your collection as one big lot isn't worth squat.

Now, there is clearly value there in quantity and quality but who is your customer? Who is the guy that's ready to drop $1000 on BR movies in one shot in this economy that doesn't already own a decent percentage of those titles? I see these big lots for sale every so often on eBay and Craigslist and while I really like the prices, its usually many of the same titles that I have already.

Selling them all together: $500 or less.

Selling off the half that you don't want individually: $900 and you keep half your collection.

You're lowballing that considerably in my opinion. A cursory look around eBay goes to show that people will pay a lot more than $5 per movie in a job lot.
