The first half of Mama was pretty spooky, because you couldn’t see the monster. But once it was revealed, the movie became a joke...

Not seeing what’s attacking you can be more effective then seeing it the threat.

THIS POST IS NOT ADVOCATING PIRACY, IT WAS ONLY A THOUGHT THAT OCCURED TO ME...
I just borrowed a movie from the library (Ready Player One) ... It says go to a website to learn how digital theft harms the economy.

Well, isn't the library lending out videos for free the same thing?
The copy at the library is bought by someone. Be it the library or the person donating it.
It is lent out multiple times. No studio sees any revenue from it at all after that initial purchase.

If someone downloads a pirated copy of a DVD, Blu-Ray or UHD, it's the exact same thing. Someone bought the initial copy and that's the only revenue the studio sees.

What are your thoughts or opinions on this?

It’s the same thing with the books. How’s that different from downloading a PDF of the book?

I believe the only thing you missed ( didn't mention ) was that the people making the Pirated copies are selling them for a profit.

I'm sure that's is what upsets them more than anything

The book industry doeant seem to care. I've never heard of a publisher going after someone.

I'm more referring to downloaded copies than the NYC street vendor types.

Oh I know
But you did asked for thoughts and opinions, and I just made mine about something you didn't bring up,
to "cover all the bases" so to speak

The 1980s was the decade of the robot. It was a big craze. Kits were sold to build your own robot, robots were also in various movies and TV shows. Nintendo even introduced the NES with a robot (R.O.B.). How come people don’t talk about robots anymore?

Has anyone used a kit back then to build a robot?

Grant Random on Octane mentions androids in his newscast. It's definitely nsfw and maybe in poor taste.

This was posted in the comment section of a YouTube movie review.

What's the purpose of that? The grade/score isn't what the review is about, it's the punctuation at the end, the cumulation of the content.

I did come across a "review" once which gave movie a "3 out of 10." That is literally all he said about the movie -- 1.5 seconds worth -- and then he spent the rest of the video promoting his channel. Maybe that is more this guy's speed.

Some people only care about a score.

Which is pointless since movie quality is subjective. I only take into consideration established critic's opinions and even then I only care about the picture quality stuff. More often than not I end up enjoying a movie that some critic bashed . The majority of those YouTube "reviews" are just younger douchebags talking out of their rear ends

Why do you think streaming is being forced down our throats? It has nothing to do with convenience - the studios want to make money each and every time one of their films are viewed. With streaming, the studio has much more control over their properties than they do with physical media. When people wake up and start realizing that their digital libraries don't belong to them maybe there will be an uprising lol

Because, like with trips to the moon, nobody cares anymore. Today's craze are cell phones and gadgets. This is one fad I don't think will ever go away, though
