Yes HDR is the main difference. Though even that isn't well developed itself.

I've seen content running with HDR, both film and video games. It's nice but it didnt make go "OMG I NEED THAT RIGHT NOW" like I did when I first laid eyes on a Kuro. I never got the Kuro but the VT60 is pretty damn close.
