I did the same thing for Band of Brothers last week, but it worked. Redeemed it in Vudu from the HBO site, went back to the HBO site and redeemed it in Google Play. Worked without any issues.

Will try the Entourage code again in a few days... hopefully it's just a bug with the site, and not a crack down.
You might still get iTunes. Since you redeem there directly.

Just redeem a code of The Wire. Went to the HBO site this time, it gave me an option for Vudu, iTunes, and Google Play.

This time instead of redeeming through the HBO site (like I did with Entourage), I manually went to the Vudu website and redeemed the code from there. Then I went back to the HBO site, entered the code, and nothing. It's not showing me other providers. Unfortunately, since I only paid for the Vudu redemption, I didn't check to see if redeeming directly through iTunes would work.

I did try redeeming my Entourage code in iTunes, but it seemed like it was trying to redeem and then crapped out. Just tells me, "The item is no longer available".

I suspect HBO is cracking down on people using their codes with multiple services.

It does appear HBO is cracking down on multiple redeems with their codes.

I just tested all my 'partial' redeems and the only code working is "The Night Of: Season 1".

Doesn't seem to matter which parts were redeemed.

Removing all the HBO codes with the exception of "Night Of" from my sales listing.

I just tried Season 5 of Veep. Redeemed at iTunes a year ago or more. Entered at HBO. All 4 options show up. I choose Google. I launch google, but the redeem box doesn't pop up. I then redeem at Vudu no problem. Try it at HBO and now nothing.

edit: But hours later having left the Google page open i noticed a code was generated and was still able to redeem at Google Play.

It *would* be cracking-down, even a complete change in policy, since I recall that HBODigitalHD.com always prompted, after redeeming a code via VUDU, with: "Remember, you can also get an UltraViolet copy via iTunes." (I recall this both because I was glad to see that HBO officially supported multiple redeems, and because I thought it was funny that they were confused as to UltraViolet being associated with iTunes.)

So best course of action here is to pull google play (Don't redeem)
Then redeem Vudu, iTunes, Google Play”

So it sounds like you want to generate the google play code via the hbo site but don’t redeem it until after you’ve redeemed the others directly.

Go to Vudu and redeem.

Then pull out that Google code and redeem.
This is my view, as well, though I've always considered grabbing the Google Play code from the URL, first, as prudent, since you can sell & send just the Google Play code and not have to worry about the other redemptions being stolen by the buyer. (Unless there's some reverse code generator that I'm not aware of.)

Same thing with Disney codes, though Disney's site makes it easier to document the Google Play-only code.

Yes, the Google Play code is what you're looking to document. Feel free to save the whole URL but DO NOT use the URL later ... or at least not until you've redeemed the original code via VUDU & iTunes.

What I believe but haven't confirmed is that, !Untested/YMMV!, redeeming just the Google Play code without using the original URL generated by HBODigitalHD.com will redeem the title without burning the other code portions ... since it's the URL that communicates the original code to Google Play. (You should see both the original code and the much longer Google Play redeem code in the copied/saved URL.)

It would be interesting to hear what happens were someone to risk a code set by redeeming JUST the Google Play-only code (copied from the URL; not the original code or redeeming via the URL) before attempting redemption of the VUDU or iTunes portions. I'm not sure how the original code could be affected if the original code isn't communicated via the URL to Google Play.

That would be new, different information from what I've read so far, and a bummer.
