It's not 'stones' as you put it.

It's lack of ability to write 22 minutes of jokes so instead it stretches out the 5 jokes that he does have into 5 minute long jokes to fill the time.

IE: Crappy writing.

Nope.

It's calling attention to itself by exaggerating the screen time for a single gag, thereby compounding the absurdity, and extending the laugh. This is a comedic principle that stretches way way back to the days of Jack Benny's radio show, and before.

They also stretched out that boring Stewie music video just to reach a full episode.

I personally like this show alot, and this spoof was really funny. Definitely not for everyone though. Humor has got to be one of the most subjective things in the world. As long as you can laugh at something...

Finally some reasonable people in this world. Family Guy hasn't been good since Fox brought it back on air.

I could say so many negatives things about South park because I absolutely hate the show.. but I won't. People like different things, who knew?

I don't see the need to come in here and totally bash family guy.

I personally loved last night's episode , it wasn't amazing from start to finish (which I agree is different than the first 3 seasons) but there were quite a few parts that me laugh pretty hard. The part were quagmire and Peter dance was hilarious to me and I'm still re-watching that part now. They do stretch jokes too long, sometimes it's hilarious sometimes it sucks, oh well, move on.

Love family guy......and love to tell people that its the only show I watch.

Unbelievable how many haters there are though. Must be conservative republican sheep that hate the Liberal anti-Bush jokes that are ohh-sooo priceless.

There have been some good moments since it came back on line.
The Roddaman scene.
The A-Ha Take On Me video spoof.
Sometimes it goes overboard, but the Christian Bale parody was pretty good satire.
