I'm a Lexus owner.. hate it when people call the luxury edition of cars the same thing as the regular edition but a different name. Even it is.. there are differences that justify the price jump.

On a different note, I saw an Acura TL run into a pole trying to get into a parking spot this past Saturday. The bumper fell off. Sad, but funny.

At least Toyota, Honda and Nissan mostly take a car and make significant changes to it to justify the price increase whereas GM will take a Tahoe, throw a different engine in it, a different front end and some plastic and call it an Escalade.

At least the ones I'm familiar with the escalade and denali got 6.0 liter engines whereas the tahoe got 4.8 and 5.3 liter engines.

EDIT: the 2000 and below I think kept the same 5.7 liter vortech engine.
