2. MAD MAX FURY ROAD - A breathlessly sustained kinetic blast, both outre and bizarrely beautiful.

3. MAD MAX - A raw revenge fantasy that transcends its "exploitation film" intent with memorable characters and visceral chases and stunt work that still hold up 40 years later.

4. MAD MAX BEYOND THUNDERDOME - The humor and imagination on display is often effective, but this is the odd duck of the series with a a sluggish midsection after a rousing start; the final chase feels like too little, too late.

love the music, love Tina Turner... the movie starts off great, turns into a total borefest in the middle and then has an ending that's a second rate retread of THE ROAD WARRIOR... I wanted to love it... but it was a total letdown...

1. The Road Warrior: The first One I saw in the theatre and have been a fan ever since.
2. Mad Max: Beyond Thunderdome: This one a lot of people don't care for but I like it. The stuff with the kids could have edited down but I love the rest of the movie.
3. Mad Max: The bookends of this movie are great. The middle is slow but I still really enjoy this movie.
4. Mad Max: Fury Road: I love the look of the film and the stunt work is off the charts amazing.

Really not interested in watching Thunderdome again; seen it three times over the years and just can't warm to it especially the finale which is just a poor imitation of 2's climatic chase.
