First one was very underrated I am glad that it is getting a sequel.

Killzone 2's spoilt me, whenever I see this blur technique used it makes me wince.

Not sure what to think about the switch from intimate bad story following bad characters to.. story jumping between several groups of snow pirates. What I want to see is evidence of improvement in storytelling.

The controls locking you out during various actions was irritating, influencing your direction during a rope pull, not just afterwards would be nice. I like to move while getting shot so I can prevent it and I definitely don't want to get knocked over and lose control even longer. Movement on foot and in Vital suits felt unnecessarily sluggish and restrictive, jumping was just horrible.

It wasn't satisfying shooting or finally killing snow pirates. A lot of weapons weren't worth picking up. After the novelty of snow environments wore off, the level design wasn't even that interesting.

GAF says MT Framework 2 Engine for this game, which is so far untested, but supposed to give superior results for PS3 games over Xbox 360 games. This could turn out to be interesting...

I liked the first game. The PS3 version could have been better. I'll buy this too.

Default Capcom confirms PS3 demo for Lost Planet 2 at E3 !

Quote:
Capcom confirmed at E3 that a demo for Lost Planet would be heading to PS3.
No release date was forthcoming, but the company previously stated that one for PC and Xbox 360 would also be released.
The shooter has been slated for release this winter with the PS3 version coming in early 2010.
GameStop, however, has both console versions arriving on February 23, 2010. Hopefully this will be cleared up soon enough.

I didn't like the game at first but it kind of grew on me. I hated the last boss though, it was really frustrating and annoying at the same time.

Default More Lost Planet 2 Details Coming February 25th

Gameplay details:
Quote:
Lost Planet 2's gameplay will include many big changes, such as portable shields like Gears of War 2 and Mech robots with passenger seats and turrets.

The footage also suggests that the game might be co-op squad based, with Oguro-san commenting: "After we released [Lost Planet], we heard so many users say that they wished they had been able to take on the Akrid enemies in a co-op mode. You should be able to see our response to those requests in the trailer you just saw."

It also looks like the aforementioned Mechs can be mounted by more than one player - meaning that the co-op won't end when you approach a Mech. We're going to go as far as saying that online four-player co-op is confirmed.

No release date has been announced, but we should hear more about the game soon.

More details on Lost Planet 2 coming Wednesday
Posted on February 23, 2009 by Nick

Capcom announced Lost Planet 2 earlier today via the XBox Live Marketplace. If you missed it, check here, the trailer looks so good, it will even turn the heads of Lost Planet haters. And while the trailer was great, it not only showed off the game, but also preempted a lot of questions fans had of the title, it lacked a lot of other information - when will the game be out? Which platforms will it be available on?

In the increasinly popular fashion of announcing an announcement, Capcom sent us an e-mail earlier saying that the official press release for the title will be due out Wednesday and a few more details may just slip out in it. PlayStation owners especially should keep an ear out - it's likely to be revealed whether or not the game will be coming to the PS3 then as well.

Lost Planet is a third person shooter developed by Capcom. The title is available now.
I guess we'll find out on Wednesday if PS3 fans get screwed lol j/k

I'm pretty sure it'll be a timed 360 exclusive.

Capcom has been giving them plenty of exclusives and M$ doesnt have a big exclusive this holiday season.
