Little Mermaid is the only recent steel i can think of that is rare.

I just got back from a couple Best Buy stores. In the second one the guy looked up the steelbook in his system, found a few in the suburbs. But also mentioned that on Tuesday he thought there would a restock.

Not that that is a guarantee, but it did seem strange, in both Godzilla is nearly sold-out, including the regular 4K (1) and the BD (2 or 3) sets. And yet there were piles and piles of ALL the Marvel steelbooks, all the Toy Story, just huge quantities in each store. Not as many Rocketman but plenty of those as well.

Godzilla is Warner Brothers. Rocketman is Paramount.

The Marvel & Pixar steelbooks are easy to find because it's Disney. The house of mouse have been releasing steelbooks in massive quantities for some time now.

That...and catalog releases does not sell so fast because many of potential customers already have them/seen them multiple times.
In my opinion Godzilla steel was very well done & like Blade Runner 2049 quantities per store was really modest.

The point is, actually, that I think they underestimated demand, as this Godzilla was not a huge success at the box office. As I mentioned in the post, the others were nearly sold out as well (regular 4K and BD).
