I emailed them and called Lionsgate corporate. It might be a while since they are probably getting overloaded with emails and calls about this issue. I would not be surprised if someone gets fired over this bungle.

Just to throw in my 2 cents, one code worked with no issue at the site, the other needed the app trick to redeem. Appears to be random but the scan and grab code seems to be the surefire method.

So yeah, not well thought out this. Especially since that back-up 7 digit code, printed ON the slip, was working yesterday but not today (release day). If you're going to try out a new system like this, maybe keep the back-up working until people get used to the new system? That would be my proposal. |

They first offered this with Robin Hood 4K and had no issues redeeming. They even offered bonus movies with it too for scanning with their app. This is the second Lionsgate title offering this app redemption, and there have been plenty of other releases in between including the ones you mentioned that had their usual insert with the code. Just strange that certain titles require this app while some don't.

As expected, this is an incredible disc. Looks even better than JW2. Better visuals and it looks more consistently sharp than part 2.

I picked this up at Best Buy this afternoon, on my way home from work. It felt very weird to buy what's basically a Lionsgate UHD up here in Canada. The bilingualism on the cover is very inoffensive (basically identical to the US art, except instead of just "Chapter" it has "Chapter / Chapitre", which is barely noticeable). Aside from that and the bilingual description and Canadian ratings logos on the back, this seems to be a Lionsgate title distributed directly in Canada. No eOne or Mongrel or VVS logos.

Uh my slip didn’t come with a QR code on it. There’s a single grey circle and it is not scanning with the app. Not sure what to do exactly.
Edit: just sent the help email a message stating as much with a copy of the slip insert as well as a copy of my receipt. I should just take my steel book back to Best Buy for an exchange. Last edited by KilljoyEX; 09-11-2019 at 04:58 AM. |

Poor quality control on that one. I've had few occasions where there were no digital code printed on the slip and was completely blank. There were also some occasions when there was no digital copy slip included. Too bad the manufacturing line/assembly don't double check before they finalize the packaging. Hope Best Buy will exchange it for you without any hassle.
