Here's my thing: in addition to all being said about how LAME it is to have to download an app just to get the Digital Copy that you paid for, I have this:

• One thing I have not seen mentioned is the potential security of having to download their VIP app. It isn't just a pain, it may very well NOT BE ALLOWED on the computer you use.
• Some people still don't have their own computer (*gasp*, yes it's true). HOWEVER, they are probably not much interested in the small number of people without home computers that would still use the digital code (on Vudu, which would be valid for anyone on a road trip that has a smart TV in their hotel room).
• Using the movieredeem dot com manual redeem method (which does not currently work) requires an email address. That's LAME.
• With the manual redeem method, just try to un-check the "I WOULD LIKE TO RECEIVE EMAIL NOTIFICATIONS ABOUT LIONSGATE AND ITS AFFILIATES' PROPERTIES" option. You cannot opt out of their spam.

When I was at the retailer, I clearly saw the price. And on the cover, there is a list of what product was promised for that money exchange, which is:

1. 4K Ultra HD
2. Blu-ray
3. Digital

So to get the product #3 promised on the cover, I must submit to receiving email from Lionsgate (yes, I understand that you can probably opt out later), and I must download and install an application (which presents a security risk and may be prohibited on the computer I use, if I even have a computer at my disposal) to actually receive product #3.

That is all, as we Americans like to say, quite BUNK.
